The new Samsung PS50 C680 is a 50 inch 3D Plasma TV. It comes with Freeview HD, and Ultra clear panels for less reflection and, ultimately, a better picture. There are 4HDMI’s, 2 USB ports and 2 speakers.
3D
3D is the latest technology to be incorporated into Samsung’s current batch of Plasma’s. With the PS50C680 you can now convert 2D images into 3D. Movies and sports look fantastic in 3D and offer a totally new experience to your home cinema. To view 3D you must use specialised 3D glasses (which are included)
Picture
This full HD 1080p Plasma offers double the resolution of a regular HDTV.
When it comes to fast moving images, Plasma TV’s have always suffered from poor picture quality, however, the PS50C680 comes with a 600Hz Sub field which converts motion images into 12 sub fields – this helps the fast moving images to remain judder free, and gives the picture a smooth, crisp and detailed look.
Samsung’s Wide Colour Enhancer means that colours are much more vivid and natural.
Movie mode helps you enjoy films the way the director intended, and Game mode is perfect for keen gamers.
Freeview
Built-in Freeview gives you access to further digital and HD channels without any extra costs. There is no monthly subscription.
Eco Mode
Samsung’s Eco Sensor helps conserve energy by measuring the light in the room and adjusting the screen accordingly. So in a dimly lit room the screen brightness is lower. This saves power consumption, so is both beneficial to the environment and your wallet. Samsung also claim that this Plasma uses 40% less power than previous models.
Connections
There plenty of connections to meet all of your needs. With 4 HDMI’s, 2 USB’s and a PC input. You can now view digitasl photos and videos on your Plasma via the USB ports.
